About the Progression Builder
Build a chord progression by picking a root note and chord type, then clicking + Add Chord. Each slot shows a fingering diagram and the chord name. Drag slots to reorder them, or click the × to remove a chord. The beats buttons (1–4) control how many beats each chord lasts.
Slash chords (e.g. C/B) let you specify a bass note different from the chord root — common in descending bass lines. Click / Bass to reveal the bass note picker. For example, a G–D/F#–Em line uses a descending bass to create smooth voice-leading.
Choose a strum pattern to hear the progression strummed rather than arpeggiated. The timbre row selects the instrument sound: Pluck (acoustic string), Clean, Warm, Muted, Distorted, or Piano (loads Salamander Grand Piano samples on first use).
Tip: Use the Circle of Fifths to find chords that work well together, then send them here to hear how they sound in sequence.
